DaVinci Resolve’s transformation from a colour grading tool to a full post-production platform has changed how post facilities are built. Where three separate applications once handled editing, grading and audio, a single DaVinci Resolve Studio installation now handles all three — reducing software costs, eliminating round-trip workflows and putting the full post pipeline on one shared storage system.
The result for MediaCast’s customers is a post workflow that scales elegantly. A full post house can build ten simultaneous DaVinci Resolve editing and grading seats, all working on the same SNS shared storage pool, for a fraction of what the same configuration would have cost five years ago.
The audio post layer completes the picture. Universal Audio’s Apollo interfaces bring studio-grade conversion and UAD processing into the audio post suite. MOTU’s AVB interface range handles multi-channel playback for immersive audio facilities. IK Multimedia’s self-calibrating iLoud monitors make accurate monitoring possible in post suites where acoustic treatment is limited.
