sE Electronics was founded by Siwei Zou, a graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and an accomplished composer and conductor. His conviction that musicians deserve better tools — built with genuine understanding of sound — drives every design decision. Unlike companies that outsource production, sE runs its own design, engineering and manufacturing teams entirely in-house, with every step carried out under close supervision.

The sE philosophy is straightforward: maximum performance at every price point, with no compromises. This ethos produced the original Reflexion Filter® — the world's first portable acoustic treatment device — and the landmark collaboration with Rupert Neve, one of the most influential figures in audio engineering history. The Rupert Neve Signature Series microphones are co-designed between sE and Neve's own team, combining sE's precision manufacturing with Neve's legendary transformer and circuit expertise.
