Hand-built pro audio and hi-fi gear trusted by top studios and engineers for almost 40 years. The Massive Passive EQ, Variable Mu compressor and VOXBOX channel strip define the sound of records made worldwide.
EveAnna Manley founded Manley Laboratories in Chino, California in 1989, building on a tradition of tube audio craftsmanship that goes back to the 1980s. For nearly four decades, every piece of Manley gear has been designed and hand-assembled in Southern California — not for nostalgia, but because the results still outperform alternatives at any price.
The Variable Mu® compressor has been on more mastering chains than any other hardware. The Massive Passive EQ sets the standard for programme material shaping. The VOXBOX® channel strip combines preamp, EQ and compression in a single channel that transforms vocal recordings. These are not vintage replicas — they are actively developed, current-production instruments.
Available across MENA and Türkiye through MediaCast — authorised distributor, with demonstrations at the MCX Experience Centre in Barsha Heights, Dubai.
Manley preamps combine transformer-balanced inputs with carefully chosen tube and solid-state gain stages — capturing sound with character and transparency in the same circuit.

Four channels of Manley preamp in a 1U rack unit. Transformer-balanced inputs, individual phantom power, pad and phase per channel. The multi-channel Manley front end for studio builds requiring consistent preamp character across multiple positions.

Two-channel unit combining Manley's preamp design with FET and tube limiting stages selectable per channel. SLAM! handles tracking and mix bus limiting from the same hardware — and doubles as a standalone stereo bus limiter in the mastering chain.

100W per channel push-pull KT-90 power amplifier for critical studio monitoring and hi-fi reference. Available in Pro Audio and Hi-Fi configurations — the same circuit, the same tubes, the same performance.
From the legendary Variable Mu® programme compressor to the ELOP®+ optical limiter — each Manley dynamics design reflects a specific philosophy and a specific result.

The definitive programme compressor. Tube variable-mu design with programme-dependent attack and release. Found on virtually every major mastering chain worldwide. Standard and mastering versions available.

Electro-optical limiting with the natural, musical behaviour of light-dependent resistors. The transparent end of Manley's dynamics range — gentle control without tube colouration.

Solid-state interpretation of variable-mu compression. The same programme-dependent behaviour as the tube design in a modern, thermally stable circuit — faster, quieter, different in character.

SLAM! in pure limiting mode: two independent channels with selectable FET and tube limiting stages. Works as a two-channel bus limiter, mix bus insert, or stereo mastering limiter before the Variable Mu.
The Massive Passive EQ is the most widely used hardware EQ in professional mastering. Passive Pultec-style design adds boost and cut without phase issues — colouring recordings with weight and air that cannot be replicated in software.

Four bands per channel, passive shelving and bell curves across the full audio spectrum. Bottom-end weight, midrange presence and high-frequency air in a single stereo unit. Found in the majority of world-class mastering rooms. Standard and mastering versions with stepped controls for recall.

Manley's take on the classic Pultec design — simultaneous boost and cut on low frequencies that adds the weight and punch associated with classic recordings. Transformer-balanced inputs and outputs, available in programme and mastering configurations.
Manley's channel strips combine preamp, EQ and dynamics in purpose-designed single-box solutions. The VOXBOX® is the standard for professional vocal recording.

Preamp, Pultec EQ, compressor and de-esser in a single 2U chassis. Designed specifically for vocal recording — has appeared on more hit records than any other single unit of its kind. The tube preamp, passive EQ and programme-dependent compression work together as a system.

Compact 1U channel strip combining Manley's preamp, EQ and compressor. Full Manley circuit quality — including transformer-balanced inputs — in a space-efficient unit suited to project studios and live recording rigs.

Two channels of Langevin design — solid-state path through a Manley-quality preamp and EQ. Two vocal channels in 1U, providing an accessible entry point into the Manley/Langevin signal chain for studios tracking multiple sources.
The Manley Reference series represents the current state of large-diaphragm tube microphone design — built in California with hand-selected capsules and dedicated power supplies.

Manley's flagship cardioid-only large-diaphragm tube microphone. Dedicated capsule design — the choice when a single, consistent cardioid pattern is the requirement. Ships with dedicated power supply, shock mount and hard-shell case.

Multi-pattern version of Manley's reference tube microphone — featuring a gold-sputtered dual-diaphragm capsule and nine selectable polar patterns. Cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-eight and six intermediate positions, switchable from the dedicated power supply.

The silver-capsule equivalent of the Reference Gold — same tube circuit, same power supply, different capsule character. The Silver typically offers a slightly brighter, more detailed top end, making it particularly suited to acoustic instruments and orchestral recording.
Stepped recall versions of the core hardware, the Backbone mastering switcher and the SLAM!® Mastering limiter — used by mastering engineers working on major releases daily.
Fully stepped controls on all frequency and level settings for complete session recall. All the character of the standard Massive Passive in the definitive mastering configuration. TEC Award-winning EQ.
Manage multiple hardware inserts, reference monitoring paths and mix comparisons from a single front panel without patchbay intervention. TEC Award winner.
Stepped input, output and recovery controls for complete session recall — preserving every sonic characteristic of the original design. The compressor of choice for commercial mastering work.
Every Manley unit is assembled by hand in Chino, California. Point-to-point wiring, through-hole components and full inspection before shipment. A craft, not a manufacturing process.
Manley designs around vacuum tubes because the results are superior — not for aesthetics or nostalgia. The non-linear behaviour of tubes at programme level produces compression, saturation and harmonic content that no solid-state circuit replicates exactly.
All Manley professional inputs and outputs are transformer-balanced — providing galvanic isolation, common-mode rejection and the electromagnetic interaction with gain stages that contributes to the Manley sound.
Manley has received more TEC Awards for outstanding technical achievement in recording than almost any other manufacturer. The Massive Passive EQ and Variable Mu compressor have both been recognised multiple times.
Manley units are designed to be serviced and repaired. Full schematics available, tubes are socketed and replaceable, components are through-hole. A Manley unit purchased today will be operational in 40 years.
Manley dynamics hardware responds to the programme material — not to a fixed time constant. Natural, musical compression that cleans up under demanding passages and breathes on simpler material.
Manley hardware appears at every stage of the professional audio signal chain — from microphone to mastering.
VOXBOX® for the complete vocal chain. Reference microphone for the source. The combination that defines the Manley vocal sound on commercial recordings.
Variable Mu® and Massive Passive EQ as the core mastering chain. Backbone for insert management. The equipment list of a professional mastering room.
Force® for multi-channel broadcast voiceover rigs. SLAM!® for on-air bus limiting. Consistent, reliable tube processing in demanding broadcast environments.
Core® channel strip for high-quality single or dual-voice recording. The complete preamp, EQ and compression chain in a compact professional unit.
Reference microphones, SLAM!® tracking limiters, VOXBOX® for featured artists. Full Manley infrastructure for studio builds where tube quality is the brief.
Snapper® power amps for studio monitoring. Hi-fi preamps for control room reference listening. Manley builds power amplification for studio and audiophile environments equally.
